We offer protection from emails with objectionable content, spoofed emails, phishing emails attempting to compromise your security, and protection from spam backscatter which can result in your organisation’s outbound email being rejected.

At the heart of our Managed Anti-Spam Email Service is the Barracuda Spam Firewall, a dedicated hardware appliance providing a powerful, easy to use, and affordable solution for eliminating spam and viruses from your organisations email. The Barracuda Spam Firewall offers ten layers of defence, including anti-spam; anti-virus; anti-spoofing; anti-phishing and denial of service (DoS).

CNS enhances this protection by placing the Barracuda Spam Firewall behind our very own SonicWALL firewall. In doing so, your email is cleaned of viruses and spyware components before it reaches the Barracuda Spam Firewall. Our Managed Anti-Spam Email Service is ISP independent, extremely accurate (avoids false positives), can process millions of email messages per day, and utilises a harsher anti-spam policy than that typically implemented by ISP’s. Simply, our Managed Anti-Spam Email Service kills spam!

  • Anti-Spam: The algorithms and methods used by the Barracuda Spam Firewall are the most comprehensive and most advanced in the industry, resulting in the lowest rate of false positives. The firewall is continuously updated with the latest spam definitions hourly.
  • Anti-Virus: By utilising two independent anti-virus engines, decompression of archives and file type blocking, we provide complete email virus protection. The virus protection is automatically updated hourly.
  • Anti-Spoofing: This prevents the use of forged or "spoofed" sender addresses on received spam.
  • Anti-Phishing: This provides robust protection against phishing attacks which are often used to gather confidential information about an organisation and / or individual users.
  • End-User Managed Quarantine: Questionable email is quarantined and a summary digest email message is sent daily to users with a simple web link for easy management. Users can create their own whitelist and blacklist for domains and email addresses, overriding the default rules.
